Nigerian music icon, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has openly shared that his daily aspiration is to clinch a Grammy Award.

KanyiDaily recalls that Davido bagged three Grammy nominations last year, with his album ‘Timeless’ nominated in the Best Global Music Album category.

His hit songs ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’ were nominated in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance categories respectively.

In a recent interview with British GQ, Davido revealed everyone one knows that he is earnestly praying to win the prestigious Grammy.

The artist, who has a Bible software installed on his tablet, emphasized the importance of regular reading, highlighting that it provides him with hymns and prayer points.

Davido expressed gratitude for the divine intervention in his life during challenging moments, emphasizing that, even when all seemed lost, God has consistently come through for him.

Drawing parallels with his namesake ‘David’ who triumphed over Goliath in the Bible, the 31-year-old Afrobeats sensation asserted his belief in overcoming challenges.

He said: “Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now. I have been nominated for three Grammys. So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up.”
