The four victims, including a high chief, Simon Ibiwoye, the Olukotun of Afin community, and three teenagers, were reportedly released in the early hours of Thursday, according to reports.

“Luckily, the local hunters were able to find them and took them back to the village to reunite with their families.
“All the freed victims are in good health condition,” the police spokesperson added.
After the abduction, the Kabiyesi of the community sought assistance from the police and a team of other security personnel, including soldiers and local hunters.
Three suspected informants associated with the armed kidnappers were later apprehended in the bush, swiftly transported, and handed over to the anti-kidnapping unit of the state police command.
A phone was retrieved, and it was used to watch a video showing the suspected armed kidnappers.
