It was gathered that the incident happened on Sunday at a hotel in Asaba where Prince Onyenwere and his colleagues camped for a movie shoot.
According to reports, Prince took the minor to one of the hotel rooms to assist with her wardrobe change for the next scene. But they took longer than expected, prompting the movie producer to dispatch someone to check on them.
A source said that upon arrival, the door to the room was locked, and the girl’s cries could be heard from inside, forcing his fellow crew members to break down the door.
The girl was reportedly found crying profusely with bloodstains all over the floor, creating a suspicion that the costume designer allegedly raped the girl after asking her to strip for a costume change.
Prince Onyenwere could be seen in a video getting attacked by some persons believed to be his colleagues who were heard saying, “r*pist, you no fit control your d*ck.”
In another video, Prince can be seen being interrogated and stripped naked by furious eyewitnesses before being handed over to men of the Delta State Police Command for prosecution.
The police have not released any official statement regarding the matter as of the time of filing this report.
Prince Onyenwere has worked with popular movie stars like Zack Orji, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Walter Anga, Nosa Rex, Ebele Uche and Rita Edochie.
KanyiDaily recalls that in 2022, popular actor Moses Armstrong was arrested by the police for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl about three years ago.
