Usman Ododo Takes Oath as Fifth Democratically-Elected Governor of Kogi

Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been sworn in as the fifth democratically-elected Governor of Kogi State.

The oath of office was administered by Justice Josiah Mejabi, the Chief Judge of Kogi State, at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, the state capital

He was sworn in at 2:27 pm, succeeding his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, who had earlier taken the oath at 2:18 pm.

The events was celebrated with cheers from a massive crowd of personalities and well-wishers

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu.

Kanyi Daily recalls that Usman Ododo, the candidate representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged victorious in the Kogi State governorship election held on November 11.
