Daniel Regha Tackle Nigerians Applauding Gov Alex Otti For Geometric Power Plant In Abia

Social media commentator Daniel Regha has criticized Nigerians who are applauding Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, for inaugurating the geometric power plant in the state.

Taking to his Twitter page, Daniel Regha expressed his confusion over the widespread praise for Alex Otti in this regard.

According to him, the geometric power plant project was initially intended to be commissioned in Abia by Bartholomew Nnaji.

He argued that Otti, as the sitting governor, was merely privileged to preside over the completion of the project, emphasizing that it was not an achievement of his administration.

Regha questioned why Otti is being praised for something that wasn’t initiated by his government, stating, “Tell me why Alex Otti is getting the applause over the geometric power plant.

“Once again, he’s just privileged to be the sitting governor. This is not the work of his administration. Give credit to the right person.”

He added, “Alex Otti is transforming Abia State in what way? Was it his administration that thought of the Geometric power plant?

“This project has reportedly been planned since 2004, 20 yrs ago, & Otti is only privileged to be the sitting governor. He doesn’t get credit for this, neither does Tinubu’s administration.

“Now u can’t talk about Abia State having constant electricity supply when only nine Local Government Areas will benefit, out of 17 LGAs.”

He noted that governors should only be lauded for projects if it was their administration that initiated them, not when their administration is merely concluding the projects initiated by predecessors.

“A governor should only get applause or credit when they or their administration started the project or when they are the major reason behind its success.

“We have seen cases where a sitting governor is praised for jobs that were literally done by their predecessors. Politics, yes, but it’s the same as taking credit for someone else’s efforts,” Daniel Regha said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Daniel Regha recently voiced his opposition to the proposed bill by Senator Ned Nwoko, which aims to legalize the possession of firearms by Nigerians for self-defense purposes.
