Dennis Idahosa Emerges as APC Candidate for Edo Governorship Election

Dennis Idahosa, a member of the House of Representatives, has been chosen as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming Edo State governorship election set for September 21, 2024.

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who serves as the chairman of the APC Edo Governorship Primary Election Committee, disclosed this information after the election held in Benin on Saturday.

Uzodinma revealed that Idahosa secured 40,483 votes, securing victory over eight other aspirants in the contest.

Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and Chief Lucky Imasuen were among those who withdrew from the primary election.
