Desmond Elliot Shares Perfumes, Pencils, Books To Constituents Ahead Of By-Election [Video]

Nollywood actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot has sparked widespread outrage by distributing perfumes, books, and pencils to Nigerian youths during a recent rally.

Desmond Elliot and fellow All Progressives Congress (APC) members were seen engaging in community charity activities within the Surulere Constituency ahead of the by-election.

In a video circulating on social media, the lawmaker can be seen handing out the items to supporters who were fervently fighting and struggling to receive their share.

The Surulere representative distributed notebooks, pencils, crayons, toothpaste, jotters, and perfumes as a gesture to alleviate the prevailing hardships in the country.

However, the video has fueled public criticism, with many expressing dismay at the choice of items and how they were distributed, emphasizing the need for a more substantial approach to address the pressing issues faced by Nigerian youths.

KanyiDaily recalls that Desmond Elliott recently traded words with popular blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus over his re-election to represent the people of the Surulere constituency at the Lagos state house of assembly.
