Water, House Rent, Others Are Not Tinubu’s Constitutional Responsibilities – Fashola [Video]

Former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has criticized Nigerians for having unrealistic expectations from President Bola Tinubu.

Fashola, in an interview with Untold Stories Nigeria, argued that certain demands from the public exceed the constitutional responsibilities of the President.

The former Lagos State governor pointed out that issues such as water supply, house rent, sanitation, and more are not within Tinubu’s constitutional duties.

Fashola stated that the public’s expectations were too high, emphasizing that these everyday concerns fall outside the president’s concern.

He said, “Are we expecting too much from the President? What constitutional role does the President have with regards to things that affect the majority of the people? Water Supply, Sanitation, getting a business permit, paying rent? Those are things that are not the responsibilities of the Nigerian President.”
