AGN President Hails Tinubu As Zack Orji Travels To UK For Post-Surgery Assessment

The President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas has extended gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his support in facilitating the healthcare of actor Zack Orji.

Zack Orji’s health ordeal began when he collapsed on December 31, 2023, and was subsequently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the National Hospital in Abuja.

Last Monday, rumors regarding the actor’s death circulated on the internet, prompting Emeka Rollas to debunk the false speculations.

The AGN president confirmed that the 64-year-old actor had undergone two successful brain surgeries and was presently in stable condition.

Rollas, however, disclosed that Zack Orji will require further medical evaluation abroad post-surgery.

Subsequently, Zack Orji departed Nigeria for a post-surgery evaluation in the United Kingdom (UK) on Friday, as confirmed by photos of him at the airport circulating online.

In a statement on Saturday, signed by Femi Durojaiye, the SSA Media/Press Secretary of the Guild, AGN President confirmed the actor’s departure and expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his intervention, as well as to other individuals involved in Orji’s care.

Rollas commended the First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Seyi Tinubu for their support and care towards the veteran actor. He also acknowledged the efforts of Minister for Women Affairs, Uju Ohanenye, and Orji’s friend, Ahmed Bala, for their unwavering support.

Furthermore, Rollas praised President Tinubu for his positive impact on the creative industry, noting his significant contributions and support to elevate the sector.

He emphasized the industry’s admiration and gratitude towards President Tinubu for his dedication to improving the creative landscape, as evidenced by key appointments and support for industry professionals.

Rollas expressed profound appreciation for President Tinubu’s efforts, recognizing the importance of his support in advancing the creative industry and benefiting its practitioners and the national economy.

Zack Orji’s death rumour comes shortly after the demise of another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, due to kidney failure.
