The Federal Government, through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund), has unveiled the portal for student loan applications.

Nasir Ayantogo, the media lead for NELFund, announced this development in a statement on Thursday, saying that the portal will officially open on May 24, 2024.

Ayantogo emphasized that this move aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring education is accessible to all Nigerian students.

According to him, the portal allows students to apply for loans to pursue their academic goals without facing financial hurdles.

“Through the portal, students can now access loans to pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints,” the statement reads.

“The portal provides a user-friendly interface for students to submit their loan applications conveniently.

“We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity to invest in their future and contribute to the growth and development of our nation.

“Students can access the portal at www.nelf.gov.ng to begin their applications.”

How to Apply:

Students can access the portal via https://nelf.gov.ng to begin their application starting from May 24, 2024..

For further inquiries and assistance, students can reach out to NELFund via email at info@nelf.gov.ng or through their social media channels.

This comes a few months after President Bola Tinubu signed Student Loan Bill into law to enable students have access to loans at interest-free rates.
