In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Oritsefemi recalled that Burna Boy came to him in distress, saying he couldn’t stay at home anymore because his mom was too overbearing.
Oritsefemi said he accommodated Burna Boy after he cried to him and assured him of success in his music career.
He said, “Burna Boy came to live in my house after a disagreement with his mum.
“He dey come dey with me because he thought his mom was suffocating him in his own house. He cried to me. And said, ‘Bro, you will become somebody someday’.”
During the same interview, Oritsefemi also talked about his wife, Nabila, and how he supported her through the difficult times when she suffered 21 miscarriages.
