Veteran actor Segun Arinze shared the news on Sunday on a WhatsApp group called Nollywood Giants, which includes well-known Nigerian entertainers.
Arinze expressed his sorrow over Ebere’s death but did not specify when or how he died.
Perekeme Odon, the National Secretary of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), also confirmed the sad news.
“We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear brother and colleague,” Odon announced, noting that details about the funeral would be provided later.
Ebere’s colleagues have been paying tribute to him, remembering his work on films like “Gateman” (2017), “Wicked Love” (2014), “Living with a Ghost” (2015), “Commitment Shy” (2016), “The Devil and the Red Sea” (2017), “Tangled Web” (2017), “The Unwanted” (2017), and “Biological Clock” (2018).
As news of his death spreads, tributes for Reginald Ebere continue to pour in.
