Yvonne had defended Yul for marrying a second wife in an interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, criticizing those who supported actress Regina Daniels while condemning Yul.
This led to backlash on social media, with many accusing Yvonne of being insensitive to May Edochie’s situation.
Yvonne Jegede later apologized, admitting she didn’t express herself well and acknowledging May’s struggles.
Reacting to this, Angela Okorie called Yvonne a “failed actress with no pedigree” and accused her of being insensitive to another woman’s pain.
She criticized Yvonne for her remarks and suggested that many Nollywood actresses are used to becoming second wives by taking other women’s husbands.
Angela also mocked Yvonne for making a public apology and questioned her intelligence despite her long career in the industry.
She wrote, “Failed actress with no pedigree, person go just open mouth wah like person wey get diarrhoea of the mouth dey insult another woman’s pain like wtf.
“Na so this idiot and her useless cohort PR say their mama dey mad, just for propaganda. Oh well, not every mother is a mother, not every wife is a wife, and some wives are knives.
“Yvonne, from that podcast, you showed how low and senseless you are. You know some Nollywood girls are used to becoming second wives from snatching people’s husbands, so it is normal to them; else, how can a woman that sucked her mum’s breast for 9 months talk like this.
“Now, you are writing nonsense Epistles, numbskull upon say you don old for Nollywood you no blow, still no get sense. Abeg shift make I see human beings”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Emeka Ugwuonye, the founder of DPA Organization and May Edochie’s lawyer, had also criticized Yvonne Jegede for defending Yul Edochie.
