In a video shared on Instagram page, Halima Abubakar disclosed that she has gone through a difficult experience that only she truly understands.
The actress took the opportunity to thank those who supported her without rejecting, criticizing, or judging her, acknowledging that anyone could face similar struggles.
She expressed gratitude to God for turning a harmful situation into one that kept her alive, allowing her to learn and be thankful.
Despite the severity of her experiences, Halima emphasized that they are too personal and painful to share.
In the video, she said, “”What I’ve been through, only me, I, myself, can say it.
“I just want to use this opportunity to thank all those people who have been there for me, those ones that didn’t run or reject me, those that didn’t criticise or judge me, because it can be anybody.
“But I thank God that what the devil meant to harm me, God used it to keep me alive so that I can see, so that I can learn, so that I can be thankful for being alive.
“What I’ve seen in my life is not something that I can share.”
Showing her face, damaged by the illness, Halima Abubakar revealed that her face looks worse than it appears in the video because she used a filter.
The actress clarified that she isn’t seeking pity but wants to express her gratitude to God for saving her.
She tearfully thanked those who showed concern and support, stating she wouldn’t wish her situation on anyone.
“My face is actually badder than this. I just used filter,” she continued. “But I’m not here for pity party. I’m just here to say God is good, God has saved me.”
Crying, she thanked those who had shown concern for her, adding that “I do not wish this for anybody.”
In the caption, she wrote: “Good morning everyone following me, so I made a video for you all but the reel is filled up.
“So if I don’t know your names, it wasn’t intentional. God bless you all and enlarge your coast. You won’t lose anyone in your family. I don’t have the strength to mention everyone.
“May Heaven bless you my wonderful co-stars and fans. This video is for you all.”
