Mr Ibu’s Family And Friends Launch GoFundMe For Funeral Costs, Seek Donations

The family and friends of the late Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral costs for the legendary actor.

KanyiDaily recalls that Mr Ibu passed away due to a cardiac arrest on March 2 at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after bravely battling a severe illness for several months.

The Central Planning Committee of the Late John Okafor (Family & Friends) is asking for donations from the public to ensure a successful burial for the late actor.

Mr Ibu’s funeral schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, June 25th: Celebrity vs. Rangers FC match
  • Wednesday, June 26th: Night of Tribute (Life and Times of Mr Ibu)
  • Thursday, June 27th: Wake-keep in his hometown, Amurri, Nkanu West LGA, Enugu State
  • Friday, June 28th: Burial Ceremony
  • Sunday, June 30th: Thanksgiving Service
