Nosa Rex Slams Ruby Ojiakor For Claiming He Used Junior Pope’s Death For Content

Nollywood actor Nosa Rex has responded to criticism from his colleague Ruby Ojiakor over a video he posted online.

Ruby, a friend of the late Junior Pope, criticized Nosa Rex (known as Baba Rex) and Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie during which Junior Pope and others lost their lives.

The actress accused Baba Rex of using Junior Pope’s death for social media content and claimed Adanma Luke said the late actor used to beg her for jobs.

Reacting on his Instagram page, Baba Rex told Ruby Ojiakor to respect herself and avoid provoking him.

He explained that the video he posted, which showed a movie director forcing him to dive into a river, was meant to warn other actors about on-set dangers, not for attention.

The actor stressed that the incident in the video was real and led to a script change when he refused to enter the water.

Nosa Rex warned Ruby not to anger him further, stating that he wouldn’t issue another warning.

He wrote, “Dear Ruby. Normally I don’t owe any explanation for the video. But I will let u know so that people will read. That video was a real situation on set. I refused to enter the water and they had to change the entire script.

“I was trying to pass a message and I am sure some people saw the message. But he is you love JP too much, u decided to call me out. Madam respect yourself, try not to piss me off. I won’t warn you again. For the people wey really know me, I be content myself, I no dey chase am”.

KanyiDaily recalls that Junior Pope tragically died with three others after a boat carrying them capsized on the Anam River during a movie shoot.

Junior Pope was buried on May 17, 2024 in his hometown of Ukehe in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
