Chaos erupted on social media as trolls criticized Toyin Abraham and demanded she reveal the plans President Tinubu shared with her before she endorsed him in the 2023 general elections.
The actress defended her decision to support Tinubu and refused to disclose any private conversations, citing her right to privacy and freedom to support any candidate of her choice.
The situation escalated when the trolls cursed Toyin and her family, including her 4-year-old son, Ire.
The actress addressed her fans on Instagram Live, breaking into tears while explaining the hurtful comments directed at her family because of her support for Tinubu.
Toyin, who was visibly upset and frustrated, announced that she has the means to track down the bullies and have them arrested.
She emphasized that voting for Tinubu is her constitutional right and clarified that she never forced anyone to support him.
The actress also denied receiving any money for her endorsement, stressing that she was never raised her to do such.
During her live video, Toyin acknowledged the supportive comments from her colleague Iyabo Ojo, music producer KSolo, BBNaija star Anto Lecky, and popular YouTuber Deborah Agboola, who encouraged her to take action against the trolls.
“I’ve been bullied again, out of everything, you have to bully my child, curse my child. So people are angry that means you have to curse my child, you have to curse my family for what”.
“I have been quiet, my husband will say I should not talk but no. I’m not going to keep quiet anymore. I’m talking this up.
“You will put out the pictures of my son, my husband and my daughter. You will be cursing them because of politics. Because I made my own choice. It’s my right to make a choice. It’s my right….” she said amidst tears.
Meanwhile, Toyin Abraham revealed that during her meeting with President Bola Tinubu, she was promised good governance and happiness for all Nigerians.
