VeryDarkMan had faced backlash for his comments about actress Iyabo Ojo, prompting a response from her partner, Paulo Okoye.
Reacting to the controversy, Obi Cubana urged blogs to desist from posting youths who disrespect elders, so as not to enable their behavior.
In response to Obi Cubana’s call, VeryDarkMan labeled him a show-off and disputed his portrayal of wealth.
He claimed there are wealthier Hausa/Fulani men in the North who do not flaunt their money like Cubana does.
VeryDarkMan accused Cubana of being a greedy populist who neglects important issues affecting Nigerian youths.
He alleged that Cubana only promotes alcohol rather than addressing youth unemployment or supporting causes like Nnamdi Kanu’s.
The critic criticized Cubana for prioritizing lavish spending over meaningful societal contributions.
“The only reason why you people are angry is because this is the only person that can scatter a lot of evil things in you people’s face.
“The youths dey cry since them never hear your voice for one day for one important thing na to carry money dey spray up and down dey use am dey buy people consicence.
“The youths are looking for employment in Nigeria you dey carry alcohol come Nigeria come drop for them.
“We don’t worship money my brother man as una wan dey chuk mouth for wetin no concern una,” VeryDarkMan partly said.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian skit maker, Sabinus had also expressed frustration over the lack of respect shown to elders by younger people on social media.
