Adekunle Gold, who first hit it big with the song “Sade” in 2015, joined YBNL that same year and released his debut album, Gold.
He later left the label when his contract ended due to Olamide’s 2-year agreement campaign with his artists in order to build them up to stand on their own afterwards,
Taking to his X, formerly Twitter, Adekunle Gold praised Olamide for his support, revealing that he designed the YBNL logo.
The singer thanked the rapper for recognizing his potential beyond just graphic design and welcoming him to the label.
He wrote, “Thank you @olamide for giving that young graphic designer the chance to not only design the YBNL logo but to be a part of your family.”
Olamide responded with: “Fam for life.”
KanyiDaily recalls that singer Tiwa Savage recently narrated how Olamide rejected an offer of ₦100 million to collaborate with her.
