Controversy As Man Accuses Davido Of Slapping Bodyguard At His Wedding [Video]

A man known as Benny on social media has accused Afrobeats superstar Davido of assaulting a bodyguard at his wedding, after a video surfaced online.

KanyiDaily reported that Davido got married to Chioma Rowland on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in Lagos. The event was attended by dignitaries from Nigeria and abroad.

A video from the traditional wedding showed Davido stopping a bodyguard from taking money from a little boy.

Benny, a fan of another Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy, shared the video and accused Davido of slapping the bouncer.

In the video, Davido was seen raising his hand to caution the bodyguard against his actions with the boy.

Sharing the video, Benny criticized Davido, saying that slapping a grown man in public was not acceptable.

Some people in the comments heavily criticized Davido for allegedly hitting the bouncer. However, Davido’s fans clarified that the singer did not slap the bodyguard.

Reacting to the controversy, the bodyguard, known as iamsegxy, took to his page to deny the rumors that Davido hit him.

He explained that the video was misleading and that Davido was only cautioning him to let the boy, who appeared out of nowhere, stay.

The bodyguard added that Davido is like family to him and has never hit any of his staff.
