To resolve the issue, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri held a high-level meeting on Monday night with key stakeholders in Abuja.
The meeting included Aliko Dangote, Chairman/CEO of Dangote Group; Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive of NMDPRA; Gbenga Komolafe, CEO of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC); and Mele Kyari, Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC).
A statement by the Special Adviser Media and Communication to the minister Nneamaka Okafor, said the meeting was an important step towards resolving the issues and showed the Minister’s commitment to creating a positive environment for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Ms. Okafor mentioned that the stakeholders thanked the Minister for his leadership and timely intervention.
The meeting aimed to find a long-term solution to the problems affecting Dangote Refinery, with all parties committed to working together to solve the issue.
The Minister stressed the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure the oil and gas sector’s success, which is crucial for Nigeria’s economic growth and energy security.
