“Imade Will Grow Up To See I Fought For Her” – Davido Responds To Sophia Mentioning Ifeanyi’s Death

Nigerian superstar, Davido, has indicated his intention to leave custody of his first child, Imade Adeleke, with her mother, Sophia Momodu.

This decision follows Sophia Momodu filing a counter-affidavit claiming Davido is unfit to have joint custody of their daughter.

Sophia cites concerns about Davido’s lifestyle and the tragic death of his son, Ifeanyi, in 2022, which she argued makes his home unsafe for a young girl.

Reacting on his X page, Davido said that Sophia’s references to Ifeanyi’s death constantly remind him of the tragedy that haunts him daily.

The singer stated he is ready to relinquish custody of Imade for now, noting that she will eventually understand how he fought for her.

He wrote, “You constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point you can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us every day of our lives.

“Imade will grow up to see that I fought for her. As for now, you can have her. P.S.: She won’t be a child forever. Enjoy Imade Aurora Adeleke! Your father loves you!”

KanyiDaily recalls that Davido had filed for joint custody, claiming Sophia Momodu was denying him access to Imade and extorting money from him.
