Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has expressed her support for a bill proposed by her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, to create Anioma State from the current Delta State.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Regina Daniels could be seen dressed in her traditional attire, showing her support for the bill.
She greeted viewers in her native language and introduced herself, adding that “I want to talk about the Anioma people.”
Switching to English, she explained, “Anioma is indeed an endowed culture, it possesses the classical characteristics of oneness, a shared history, robust culture, language, traditions, and features that set us apart from other local governments in Delta State yet, uniquely connects us to the south-eastern state.
“As a true daughter of Anioma, I am immensely proud of the recently sponsored bill for the creation of Anioma State by my beloved husband and our distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.”
The actress emphasized the importance of the bill, saying it would address a long-standing injustice and create a sixth state in the southeast.
Regina also highlighted that the new state would ensure fair distribution of resources and better legislative representation for the Anioma people.
Sharing the video, the actress urged everyone to support her husband and the bill, saying the creation of Anioma state is long overdue.
She wrote “I lend my voice to support the Recently sponsored bill by my husband and our distinguished Senator for the creation of Anioma State.
“The creation of Anioma state is long overdue. The 50years struggle of our Ancestors must not be in vain. This is the time to make it happen @princenednwoko”
