It was gathered that Toyin Abraham had “Big Ayo,” a social media influencer, arrested for accusing her of taking money from President Tinubu to pay for her husband’s hair treatment.
Another user claimed that Toyin had his mother illegally detained at Panti police station for allegedly bullying her, but there is no online record of him attacking the actress.
Toyin responded on social media, stating she did not arrest the X user’s mother but reported a cybercrime because she would not tolerate insults directed at her children.
The incident has caused an outrage on social media, with some users accusing the actress of abusing her power, while others sarcastically urged her to arrest everyone who criticizes her.
One user said, “Hello @toyin_abraham1, you will have to send the police to pick all of us. You are very shameless.”
Toyin replied that while she can tolerate being insulted, she draws the line at people cursing her kids and lying.
The movie star clarified again that she never arrested the X user’s mother and only made a report as a citizen.
She explained that the threats and curses directed at her family were too much to handle, so she reported the cybercrime.
The actress said ,“You can abuse and call me names; it’s fine, and as I said, I will accept and take it cos I’m in the public eyes, but cursing kids and lying is what I won’t accept, and lastly, I never and will never arrest anyone’s mother. I made a report on cybercrime as a citizen.
“I made my report at cybercrime cos the threat to life and curse and threat on my family were beyond what I can take, as for me, abuse me, insult me please, say anything to me please”.
Another X user then accused Toyin Abraham of having his mother arrested, stating she was taken from her shop to Panti police station for something he didn’t do.
He wrote, “It’s one thing to make a tweet, and you arrest me. It’s another thing to arrest me for not even making a single comment, @toyin_abraham1.
“You picked my mom up from her shop to Panti police station for something I didn’t even do. God will judge you”.
In her response, Toyin accused him of lying, explaining that his mother voluntarily followed Big Ayo to police station following his arrest for bullying, cursing, and defamation.
She wrote, “Lying in my head comfortably now, the world won’t see this if I react how, they will say something else. I never arrested your mum. Your friend Ayo was arrested for bullying and cursing and defaming my family, and mum went there saying she won’t leave without him”.
Another X user, Uchenna, asked why Toyin deleted some of her tweets, and she replied that the issue had been explained to her.
Toyin Abraham wrote, “I just deleted it cos he has explained to me, and there is no need to beat around the bus, so what’s the big deal?”.
