Tems’ song “Love Me Jeje,” which samples the classic by Seyi Sodimu and Shaffy Bello, is on the list. This track is one of the main singles from her debut album “Born In The Wild.”
Rema’s energetic song “Yayo” from his latest album “HEIS” also made the cut. This isn’t Rema’s first time on Obama’s playlist—his song “Iron Man” was included in 2019.
South African star Tyla also caught Obama’s attention with her song “Jump,” a lively collaboration with Gunna and Skillibeng.
Other tracks on the playlist include Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’em,” Shaboozy’s hit “A Bar Song,” H.E.R’s “Process,” and “Perro Negro” by Bad Bunny & Fied, among various songs from artists around the globe.
Sharing the playlist on his X page, Barack Obama wrote, “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!”
KanyiDaily recalls that Barack Obama’s 2023 playlist featured four tracks from Burna Boy, Asake & Olamide, Davido & Musa Keys, and Tems.
