Police recently arrested a nurse in connection with the death of a 36-year-old woman named Abiola, who allegedly died due to a failed butt-lifting procedure performed by the nurse in Lagos.
The arrest was confirmed by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police spokesperson, who said that the police received a report from the deceased woman’s driver on Tuesday morning.
The driver explained that around 3 a.m. on Monday, his employer asked him to take her to a clinic in Lekki Phase 1 for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) injection.
He said that when they arrived at the clinic, the owner instructed a nurse to administer the injection.
The woman soon became unconscious and had difficulty breathing. She was taken to another hospital in Lekki Phase 1, where she was pronounced dead.
Police detectives visited the clinic and inspected the scene, and the body was moved to a public morgue for an autopsy.
Reacting on her Instagram story, Anita Joseph said that if she advised women against undergoing butt enlargement procedures, they would start ccriticizing her.
She wrote, “Another person is dead. If I say stop doing BBL is bad is not safe. A lot of damages. Una go begin vex dey throw shades SMH Shallom pls.
