“Most Of You Are Ashawo Koko-Kobo” — Israel Adesanya Tackles Lagos Big Girls [Video]

New Zealand-Nigerian mixed martial artist, Israel Adesanya has sparked controversy by claiming that most women in Lagos are “runs girls”.

In a video shared on his X account on Monday, the former UFC welterweight champion accused these women of flaunting their lifestyles, which he says are funded by prostitution.

Adesanya, who spoke in a mix of English and Yoruba, urged these women to be more kind and approachable instead of showing off.

He said, “Lagos women love showing off. Most of you are runs girls, kobo kobo, ashewo. You keep posing and showing off. Nonsense. Just be nice, be friendly, say hi.”

Israel Adesanya’s comments have triggered a wide range of reactions on social media, particularly on X.
