VeryDarkMan was responding to a letter sent by Falz’s legal team demanding an apology and retraction for his remarks about an audio clip involving Bobrisky.
In the recording, Bobrisky allegedly claimed he reached out to Falz and his father, Femi Falana, over the money laundering charges against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bobrisky alleged that certain EFCC officials took N15 million from him to dismiss the money laundering charges against him.
Femi Falana and Falz, through their legal representatives at Falana & Falana’s Chambers, issued separate statements denying the bribery allegations.
They demanded an immediate retraction of the claims and a public apology from VeryDarkMan across all platforms within 24 hours.
In a video posted on Instagram, Falz revealed that he had spoken to Falz over the phone on Wednesday, where he clarified that he did not defame the rapper.
The social media activist jokingly told Falz that, as a lawyer himself, he wouldn’t need to hire another lawyer for court.
VeryDarkMan further explained that after reading Falz’s post, he noticed conflicting details about the call.
He reiterated that his intention was not to defame Falz or Femi Falana, and told the rapper, “I will see you in court.”
Speaking further, VMD said; ‘’I did not read what Falz posted until later and then when I read what Falz posted, I said wait a minute.
“Bobrisky is saying that the voice call was fake and now Falz is confirming that they had a call. The only difference is that he is saying Bobrisky was the one that called him while Bobrisky is saying it was Falz that called him.
“Falz is saying Bobrisky asked him for N3 million. Bobrisky is saying Falz said he should pay a lawyer, his father, N10 million.
“What I expected Falz to do was instead of addressing that letter to me, I expected him to address that letter to Bobrisky, requesting that he should clear your name on that voice call, not you coming for me. I wasn’t the one in the record.
“My reason for posting that (audio recording) is to expose the corruption that Bobrisky used his mouth to say that instead of taking him to prison, he was taken to a private lodge, that EFCC collected N15 million from him to drop charges that said he laundered money.
“Instead of all this thing, he is calling your name. I will expect you to send that letter to Bobrisky. To be honest, I did not defame Falz and Uncle Femi Falana”
VeryDarkMan also questioned how Bobrisky was able to make phone calls while in prison.
KanyiDaily recalls that EFCC had summoned VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky for questioning over claims of bribery involving some of its officials.
