Portable’s comments come as Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, faces a series of legal issues.
Bobrisky was recently released from prison on August 5 after serving part of a six-month sentence that started on April 12 for abusing the Nigerian currency, the naira.
His ordeal escalated recently when social media influencer VeryDarkMan shared an audio clip online in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ₦15 million to have the money laundering charges against him dropped.
Bobrisky has denied the bribery allegations, calling the audio “fake” and maintaining that he completed his prison sentence without paying any bribe.
However, the EFCC has called both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan in for questioning, and EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has ordered a full investigation into the claims, intensifying the controversy.
Adding to the drama, rapper Falz supported some of VeryDarkMan’s claims in a letter to the influencer.
Falz stated that Bobrisky had asked him for ₦3 million to pay officials for a VIP section in prison, a request he turned down.
Amidst the legal battles and public scrutiny, Bobrisky opened up about struggling with suicidal thoughts, asking for understanding and support as she faces these challenges.
Reacting to the development, Portable shared his thoughts on Instagram, advising Bobrisky not to consider suicide but to turn away from his current lifestyle and seek redemption.
The singer emphasized that if Bobrisky seeks forgiveness, his life could improve, but warned that failing to do so would have dire consequences.
He said, “Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die.
“Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. All Bobrisky needs is to ask God for forgiveness of sin. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world. But if he does not repent.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Portable recently slammed Nigerian celebrities for donating to Bobrisky during his legal troubles but not extending the same generosity to TG Omori, who is gravely ill.
