We Won’t Spare Indicted Officials In Bobrisky’s Scandal – Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo [Video]

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has warned that any officials from the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) found involved in the scandal related to Bobrisky, the controversial cross-dresser, will face serious repercussions.

This warning follows allegations that some NCoS officers arranged for Bobrisky to serve his prison sentence in a private apartment instead of a prison cell.

Bobrisky had been sentenced to six months in prison by a Federal High Court in Lagos for naira abuse.

In an audio record,  the crossdresser was also heard saying that some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), allegedly extorted N15 million from him to drop the money laundering charges.

During a press conference in Abuja marking his first year in office, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo reassured the public that any person found guilty during the investigation would be held accountable, regardless of their position.

We will not spare anybody no matter how highly placed. Let’s be patient. Investigation is ongoing, but be assured that nobody will be protected,” he emphasized

He also highlighted that the high-profile panel overseeing the investigation reflects the government’s seriousness in ensuring a thorough and comprehensive inquiry.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo expressed confidence that the investigation would help restore discipline and uphold the integrity of the Correctional Service.
