Women Living With Men Without Bride Price Are “Cheap Commodities” – Ossai Ovie Success

Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Delta state governor, stated that any woman living with a man without her bride price being paid is a “cheap commodity.

The governor’s aide, who stated this on Facebook, he believes a woman’s value is tied to traditional practices, such as the payment of bride price, which is often seen as a sign of commitment and respect in some cultures.

Ossai Ovie Success said, “Any woman who is staying in her man’s house without bride price payment is a cheap commodity”.

His statement has triggered an online discussion, with some people questioning whether men living in women’s homes without paying bride prices should also be considered “cheap commodities.”
