Wizkid’s criticism of Davido came on Independence Day after the DMW Boss shared a teaser of his upcoming song, which stirred excitement among his fans.
However, Wizkid quickly responded on X (formerly Twitter) with a series of harsh now-deleted posts, dampening the excitement.
He described Davido and “wack and talentless artists”, accusing him of releasing what he described as “mediocre songs.”
His comments triggered mixed reactions on social media, with many criticizing him for the harsh words.
Reacting to the drama, Daniel Regha suggested that Wizkid is trying to draw attention to himself.
He argued that someone who is truly successful doesn’t need to keep flaunting their accomplishments to prove their worth.
“The fact that u can’t promote ur music or stay in the limelight without intentionally disrespecting ur colleagues, shows u need others to remain in the spotlight.
“Someone who’s big doesn’t need to remind the public of their status & accomplishments,” Daniel Regha said.
KanyiDaily recalls that Davido and Wizkid recently dragged each other on social media after Wizkid shared the viral video of Davido begging an American model on his knees.
