In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the BBNaija winner voiced her frustration with the lack of progress, despite Nigeria turning 64.
She argued that there’s nothing worth celebrating, pointing out ongoing issues like hunger, poor infrastructure, flooding, and the lack of quality education and roads.
Phyna criticized the animosity between the government and its citizens, accusing leaders of ignoring the people’s concerns.
The reality star emphasized that while Nigeria has grown older, it continues to struggle with the same basic problems, and life hasn’t improved for many.
Drawing a comparison, she likened the country to an elderly person who has not gained wisdom over the years, highlighting the stagnation in development.
Phyna admitted that instead of feeling pride, she feels embarrassed on this Independence Day.
