Kendrick Lamar Wins Big At 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards [Full List Of Winners]

American rapper Kendrick Lamar bagged most plaques during the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas.

The awards, which celebrate Black excellence in music, culture, and sports, took place on October 8, but the show was not broadcast live. Instead, it was taped and later aired on BET and VH1 on October 15.

Hip-hop legend and producer, Fat Joe hosted the awards for the third year, kicking off the night with an energetic performance of his hit song “Make It Rain” with DJ Spinatik.

Throughout the night, Fat Joe announced the winners, starting with Sexyy Red, who won Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist.

Kendrick Lamar, who had an interesting year due to his beef with Drake, was revealed as the big winner of the night, taking home eight awards.

He walked away with some of the top honors, including Lyricist of the Year, Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video Director of the Year alongside Dave Free for their work on “Not Like Us.”

Travis Scott was honored with the “I Am Hip Hop” award, which was presented by actress and singer Teyana Taylor.

The night also featured performances from hip-hop stars like 2 Chainz, GloRilla, Juicy J, Bossman Dlow, Trina, and Yung Miami, among others.
