Lil Durk Arrested & Charged With ‘Murder For Hire’ Over Death Of Quando Rondo’s Cousin

Popular American rapper Durk Banks, better known as Lil Durk, has been arrested in South Florida.

Lil Durk was arrested on charges related to a “murder-for-hire’ scheme allegedly connected to the killing of Lul Pab, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.

The 32-year-old artist was detained without bond in Broward County, Florida, on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

According to police reports, he is currently being held in the Broward County Jail, awaiting transfer to the custody of U.S. Marshals.

DJ Akademiks broke the news on social media, sharing Lil Durk’s mugshot and posting: “Breaking: Lil Durk has been arrested by U.S. Marshals and held in Broward County Correctional Facility until he’s extradited to California for his Federal Charge. His Charge is ‘MURDER FOR HIRE’ for the death of Quando Rondo’s cousin, ‘Lul Pab.”

The arrest has sparked discussion on social media, especially since no bond has been set for Lil Durk.

At the time of filing this report, Lil Durk’s representatives have not made any public statement regarding the charges.

Just prior to Lil Durk’s arrest, five men reportedly associated with his OTF (Only The Family) collective were also detained.

Those charged include Kavon London Grant (aka “Vonnie”), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (aka “DeDe”), Keith Jones (aka “Flacka”), David Brian Lindsey (aka “Browneyez”), and Asa Houston (aka “Boogie”).

These men, all from Chicago, face charges of murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, in connection to the 2022 death of Saviay’a Robinson, another cousin of Quando Rondo, in Los Angeles.

According to an indictment in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, these five men allegedly conducted the shooting as part of their affiliation with OTF.

Prosecutors claim flights and rental cars for the group were paid for with a credit card linked to OTF, which is now being used as evidence in the case to support the alleged connection to Lil Durk’s collective.

This comes four months after Lil Durk’s 10-year-old son shot his stepfather, Joshua Pippens, during a domestic dispute involving the child’s mother.
