“Oloba Salo Shot 3 Times, It Was Assassination Attempt Not Robbery” – Eyewitness [Video]

An eyewitness has shared details of how Nigerian TikToker, Olesanmi Afeez Opeyemi, also known as Oloba Salo, was shot by armed men in Lekki, Lagos.

A video showing Oloba Salo fighting for his life in the hospital has been circulating online after the shooting incident, which took place on Thursday evening near Tantalizer Junction, Lekki.

Witnesses said the TikToker was attacked while driving his white SUV.

In a viral video, a voice can be heard saying, “This is Salo’s car you can see it yourself. You think it is a joke. This is his blood here,” as the camera shows two bullet casings and bloodstains inside the vehicle.

According to passersby, the attack occurred when a man posing as a beggar approached Salo’s vehicle and he rolled down his window.

In another clip, a man claiming to be Salo’s brother is seen in the hospital, attempting to stop people from filming. Nurses are shown tending to Salo before the camera is turned off.

The post’s caption mentioned that the bullet had affected his kidney and pelvis, and Salo was undergoing treatment.

Another eyewitness at the scene of the shooting claimed it wasn’t a robbery but an assassination attempt.

In an audio recording , the witness said that armed men arrived on a motorcycle, forced open the door of Salo’s car, and shot him.

She also noted that the attackers did not take anything from him, but those who arrived to assist Salo later stole his belongings.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos police, confirmed the incident on Friday morning.

He said Oloba Salo is receiving medical care and that an investigation has been launched.

“I can confirm that the incident occurred. He is receiving medical attention and the investigation is ongoing,” Hundeyin told TheCable Lifestyle.
