KanyiDaily recalls that Wizkid reignited their beef on Tuesday, shortly after Davido announced his first single for 2024, which he mentioned would celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
Instead of congratulating his fellow artist, Wizkid took to criticizing Davido, questioning his talent and making comparisons between their body of work.
Wizkid’s latest comments, shared on X, also targeted Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who is popularly known as the “dancing governor” of Osun State.
Wizkid made fun of the governor’s frequent dancing videos online, suggesting that the Adeleke family lacks proper upbringing.
In Pidgin English, Wizkid wrote, “When you see people wey dem papa and family train you go know! You don’t see my uncle dancing online.”
Despite Wizkid’s comments, Davido has chosen not to respond and has remained silent on social media regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, Social media critic, Daniel Regha has weighed in on Wizkid’s latest remarks about Davido, claiming that the Afrobeats star is trying to stay relevant by taking jabs at his fellow artist.
