The late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, was laid to rest on Friday, as condolences poured in for Governor Umo Eno and the people of the state.
Earlier, former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi shared his sympathies, calling her passing a great loss to the Governor, their children, Akwa Ibom State, and the nation as a whole.
He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the grieving family during this challenging time.
The Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) also offered condolences, remembering the late First Lady as a cherished “Mother of the State.”
Governor Umo Eno expressed deep gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians both at home and abroad for their unwavering support, love, and prayers.
During a service of songs held in his wife’s memory, the Governor thanked everyone for their overwhelming kindness and support throughout the funeral events held at his hometown in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
