Nigerian singer, Shallipopi has stirred controversy with his remarks about the importance of wealth for men.
Taking to his X page on Friday, the artist claimed that being wealthy is what defines manhood, adding that men without money should be considered as part of the women’s group.
Shallipopi wrote, “Na money make you be man. If you no get, join the ladies’ set.”
In another post, he criticized men without money who focus on love instead of pursuing financial success.
The artist stated, ““If u like no get money, dey find babe, u fit say life na 2014.”
His comments sparked backlash from some fans who argued that money isn’t the only measure of a man’s worth. However, Shallipopi doubled down on his stance, maintaining that wealth is essential.
