The clarification came after Burna Boy, a fellow artist and perceived rival, sparked online buzz with cryptic posts that seemed to take shots at an unnamed person.
In his Instagram post, Burna Boy hinted that someone had falsely claimed ownership of a Banana Island house that was actually rented, urging them to aim higher in the future.
In 2022, it was reported that Davido had acquired a house in Banana Island valued at approximately $1.5million, fueling speculations about the target of Burna Boy’s remarks.
As the debate gained traction on social media, Sujimoto Real Estate stepped forward to set the record straight. The company confirmed that Davido did indeed purchase the Banana Island property from them.
In the comment section, Sujimoto wrote, “Davido bought from us,” putting to rest the rumors surrounding the ownership of the luxury property.
KanyiDaily recalls that Davido recently greeted Burna Boy’s mother with a hug, shared some banter, and posed for photos with her at an all-white party hosted by billionaire Tony Elumelu.
