In a judgment delivered on Friday, Justice Yellim Bogoro also ordered the forfeiture of $900,000 in investments linked to Anita Joy Omoile, a close associate of Emefiele.
Additionally, the court directed the forfeiture of $4.4 million traced to Deep Blue Energy Services Ltd and ₦283 million in a Zenith Bank account belonging to Liman Investment Ltd.
Other seized assets include €20,000 and £1,999.50 held by Exactquote Bureau De Change, all linked to Omoile.
The ruling followed a request from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), with the judge affirming that the funds were proceeds of unlawful activities.
KanyiDaily recalls that Godwin Emefiele was recently identified as the owner of an Abuja estate containing 753 duplexes, which was forfeited to the Nigerian government following a court ruling.
