In a video shared on social media, Zicsaloma explained that this was his third week post-surgery, noting that the swelling on his face had significantly reduced.
He assured his followers that the healing process was ongoing and that the final results would become more apparent in the coming weeks.
Saloma said, “This is three weeks post-operation, three weeks after my rhinoplasty. I’ll be taking off this cast so you guys can see how well my nose has healed.
“If you noticed, my face is less swollen. The last video I posted was five days after my surgery, and my face was still very swollen. It will continue to go down.”
Responding to criticism over his decision, Zicsaloma defended himself, stating that he is morally upright compared to many of those judging him.
He pointed out that he does not engage in vices such as drinking, smoking, or womanizing, emphasizing that his choice to alter his nose was a personal one.
“I better pass most of una wey dey judge me. I’m not here to hype myself but trust me, morally I am better than a lot of people.
“There are a lot of things people do that I don’t do. I don’t womanise, smoke or drink. Aside from when I am shooting with my crew, I am the only one in the whole of my duplex,” he stated.
Speaking on his motivation, he revealed that he had been teased about his nose since childhood, particularly by his siblings, which made him self-conscious about his appearance.
Clarifying misconceptions about rhinoplasty, Saloma explained that people undergo the procedure for different reasons, including medical and cosmetic purposes.
He expressed satisfaction with the outcome, proudly showing off his nose and highlighting how much more confident he feels.
Zic Saloma said, “Some of you don’t even know what rhinoplasty is. Some think it’s a death sentence. People undergo it for different reasons—some for aesthetics, like me, and others for medical reasons, such as breathing issues. I’ve always had a very flat nose, and if I could have reconstructed it as a child, I would have.”
“My siblings constantly insulted my nose, calling it too big and ugly. Among us, I was the only one with this type of nose. It made me feel different.”
Addressing speculations about the cost, the comedian disclosed that he did not pay for the surgery, as it was part of a collaboration with a hospital.
“I want the speculations to continue, but for the sake of transparency, I didn’t pay for the procedure. It was a collaboration between me and a hospital,’ he added.
As the video circulated online, social media users shared mixed reactions, with some supporting Zic Saloma’s decision while others continued to criticize him.
