The deal, worth approximately £40 million (€45-50 million), includes a seven-year contract with an option to extend for another season.
Geovany Quenda will remain at Sporting for the 2025-26 campaign before making the switch to Stamford Bridge in July 2026.
Despite already having several options in wide positions, Chelsea see Quenda as a valuable addition due to his ability to play on both flanks and his skill in one-on-one situations.
The Portugal Under-21 international has been a standout performer, recording two goals and eight assists in 43 appearances since breaking into Sporting’s first team.
Manchester United had also shown interest in signing Quenda, especially given his previous work with new United boss Ruben Amorim.
However, Chelsea moved quickly to finalize the deal, securing the promising winger’s future.
Quenda, who recently completed his medical, is expected to play a key role for Sporting next season before officially joining Chelsea.
Meanwhile, the Blues, currently fourth in the Premier League, prepare for their upcoming clash against Arsenal on Sunday.
KanyiDaily recalls that Chelsea recently recalled defender Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace.
