Ati first gained attention in January when she alleged that she had a brief affair with Cubana Chief Priest—real name Pascal Okechukwu—during a visit to Lagos in April 2022, which led to her pregnancy.
According to Ati, after giving birth, she repeatedly tried to contact Cubana, but he cut off all communication.
She has since been demanding a paternity test to confirm her claims, but her requests have gone unanswered.
However, Cubana has firmly denied being the child’s father, describing Hellen Ati’s accusations as unfounded.
On Mother’s Day, the mother of one took to Instagram to directly call on Governor Hope Uzodinma to intervene.
She pleaded for financial assistance for her child and urged the governor to persuade Cubana Chief Priest to take responsibility, starting with a DNA test.
“Please @he_hopeuzodimma of Imo State, I need your help. Talk to Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, to please help his son in Kenya and for the DNA test to be done.
“@he_chiomauzodimma, bikonu (please), the baby is struggling here in Kenya—no food or anything to feed the boy,” she wrote.
As of now, neither Cubana Chief Priest nor Governor Uzodinma’s office has responded to Hellen Ati’s plea.
KanyiDaily recalls that Helen Ati recently gave Cubana Chief Priest a two-month deadline to acknowledge the boy and take responsibility.
