Fans are eagerly awaiting the bout, which is expected to settle the ongoing feud between the two controversial entertainers.
Scheduled for Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Center, the event promises intense action.
Their rivalry began when Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his upcoming show, offering him ₦500,000 as payment.
However, Portable—whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola Badmus—took offense, calling the amount insulting and declining the offer.
The 31-year-old singer ridiculed Darlington, labeling him as “poor” and boasting that he charges ₦20 million per performance.
“You are inviting me to a show, and you don’t have money. You are using my name to promote your show. I charge ₦20 million, ask around,” Portable said.
“…You’re offering me ₦500k, for what? I don’t want to be friends with poor people. I didn’t know he is that poor.”
Darlington fired back, expressing regret for reaching out to Portable and accusing him of bringing his mother into the argument.
“Why did I bring myself low? Why did I contact Portable? I regret it because why the insults? Why did my mother get into the discussion?” he fumed.
In response, Portable upped the stakes, challenging Speed Darlington to a boxing match.
He confidently declared that he would defeat him just as he had done to actor Charles Okocha in a previous fight.
“I want to fight you. We should both be put in a boxing ring. I will defeat you like I defeated Okocha,” he boasted.
Confirming the event, the organizers, Mygamerush, took to Instagram, announcing, “You asked and now it is here. Two street king’s battle for ultimate street supremacy.”
While Portable has yet to publicly acknowledge the match, Darlington appears ready for the fight, already showcasing his training sessions with a personal coach as he prepares for the big day.
KanyiDaily recalls that in 2023, Portable won the celebrity boxing match against Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha.
