Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries got married at 6.30pm last night in front of 440 guests at a private estate in Montecito, California.
Kim’s rep confirmed all the details to People.com and E!, including the dress, the guest list, the ceremony and the reception.
THE FASHION:
The bride wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown with tulle skirt, basque waist and Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and “epic” train. Her shoes were by Guiseppe Zanotti. She wore her hair up and her veil had a jewelled headpiece with diamonds that rested on her forehead. Her bouquet was white roses.
The groom wore an outfit by Ermenegildo Zegna, which included white tuxedo jacket and shirt with white bow tie and black tuxedo trousers. He changed into an outfit to match his groomsmen at the reception.
The groomsmen and the bride and groom’s fathers, Bruce Jenner and William Humphries, wore Zegna black tuxedos and silk ties with white tuxedo shirts.
The bridesmaids and maids of honour all wore ivory and changed into matching white tracksuits at the reception.
Kim had another TWO dresses for later in the evening, both in ivory and by Vera Wang along with a Judith Leiber clutch. One was a Georgette mermaid gown with Chantilly lace appliqué plus organza petals and sprig embroidery. One was in satin with a crepe-back, a V-neck and a circle skirt.
THE BRIDAL PARTY:
Kourtney and Khloe were Kim’s co-maids of honour. Kendall, Kylie and Kris’ sister Kaela were bridesmaids. Little Mason was the ring bearer. Kim’s stepfather Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle.
THE CEREMONY:
Kris tweeted: “This is it!” just ten minutes before the ceremony was due to begin! As he arrived at the altar he whispered: “I’m nervous.”
The ceremony and reception had a black and white theme, but there was a pop of colour: the box that held the wedding rings was pink. Lorraine Schwartz, who designed the engagement ring, also designed the wedding rings.
The programme included a tribute to Kris’ late grandparents and to Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian. Kim wrote: “I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle. But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you, dad.”
Kourtney stumbled on her walk down the aisle, creating a gasp from the guests, but she didn’t actually fall and Mason (whom she was carrying) was fine and scampered down the aisle ahead.
The traditional Christian service was officiated by Pastor Joel Johnson, who revealed what Kim and Kris most love about each other. For Kim, it’s that Kris makes her smile, brings out her fun side, trusts her and brings calm to her life. For Kris, it’s Kim’s compassion, love of family, and living each day like it’s her last.
THE GUESTS:
The guest list included Lindsay Lohan and family, birthday girl Demi Lovato, wedding dress designer Vera Wang, and sisters Venus and Serena Williams.
Couples in attendance included Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz, and Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough.
Other lucky invitees included Ciara, Babyface, Mario Lopez, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke and Kathie Lee Gifford.
THE RECEPTION:
The newlyweds’ first dance was to Robin Thicke’s Angels. Robin then sang Let’s Stay to Together. Earth, Wind & Fire later played September.
Mother-of-the-bride Kris complimented her daughter on her dress and Bruce said: “Tonight is really about family— joining two families.”
The food was catered by Wolfgang Puck and included a mozzarella, basil and tomato salad then agnolotti with truffles or roast chicken with potato puree, sprouts and truffles.
The cake was multi-tiered chocolate-and-vanilla with chocolate chips
Sounds amazing, congrats to Kim and Kris!
