Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has sent a note of warning to the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, that if he continues to unleash his lions in the state, then there will be no mercy for him.
Speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, Obaseki said that he had no intention of driving Oshiomhole, out of Edo state as he threatened during the governorship campaign.
However, the governor said if the former governor continues to be disruptive, and creates problems for Edo people, then he will show no mercy, adding that it’s totally up to Oshiomole to decide what to do.
When asked about reports that there is a plan to “run Oshiomhole out of the state” he responded that no such plan exists, but the response of his administration depends on the behavior of Oshiomhole.
“I don’t have any plan, but if he continues to behave the way he always does, if he continues to be disruptive, if he continues to fund his lions and tigers, and tries to create problems for us here, then we will not have any mercy,” he said.
Obaseki said he would not want to say much about Oshiomhole, noting that the former APC national chairman had been deceived.
KanyiDaily recalls that Governor Obaseki had said that his re-election in the just concluded governorship election, has finally sent the lions and tigers into the zoo to be caged permanently from Edo politics.
