Nigerian singer, Rema has taken to social media to call out Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the death of his father, Justice Ikubor.
Justice Ikubor before his death was a chieftain of the PDP in Edo State and former General Manager of the state-owned Ethiope Publishing Company.
The former PDP Chieftain was found dead in a room at Bins Hotel in Benin City, the state capital in 2008.
Vanguard reported that Justice Idubor checked in with a female friend at about 8:30 p.m on the day he died. But the lady reportedly left the hotel premises after spending some hours with the deceased.
It was leant that there was no sign of the PDP chieftain the next morning, the room in which he lodged was forced open by the staff members of the hotel and his lifeless body was found on the bed.
His lifeless body was found alongside empty cans of energy drink ‘Red Bull’ which he might have taken together with the lady in the hotel room.
Rema in one of his tweets on his Twitter page on Monday, September, 28, 2020, said the PDP need to explan what happened to his father in that hotel room.
“PDP y’all need to explain what happened to my Father in that Hotel room. Justice Ikubor’s son has risen,” he tweeted.
“I saw the bag of money, 2008. Life was rough when I lost him. When I come to Benin, I’m gonna visit the houses of the names I still remember, peacefully.”
KanyiDaily had also reported how Rema was called out on social media after he shared a video of himself kissing and getting cozy with a female fan on their first date.
