Nicole Young, the estranged wife of hip-hop legend and producer, Dr. Dre, reportedly served him divorce papers during the burial of his late grandmother in Los Angeles.
KanyiDaily had reported that Dr. Dre is in the middle of a very contentious split with Nicole Young, and she’s demanding about $2 million a month in temporary spousal support after filing for divorce in June 2020.
According to TMZ, the 56-year-old rapper was at the cemetery where his grandmother was being laid to rest when a lawyer representing his estranged wife attempted to serve him with legal documents on Monday.
Insiders close to Dre claim he was standing right beside his grandma’s casket when the server tried to give him the papers, but sources on Nicole’s side say the documents were served at the cemetery’s parking lot.
It was gathered that the divorce papers were left for him to pick up later after Dr Dre got furious and refused to take the legal documents.
KanyiDaily had reported that Nicole Young filed for separation from Dr Dre in June 2020 after 24 years of marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
Dre – real name Andre Romelle Young – married Young in 1996 and they have two children together: a son, Truice, 23, and a daughter, Truly, 19.
