Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has taken to social media to lament over the soot pollution in Port Harcourt and other parts of Rivers state.
Sharing pictures that showed blackened clouds and people affected by soot on his Instagram stories, Burna Boy called for the urgent end to soot emission in the state.
He wrote, “Dark clouds over my city. What is the way forward, #StopthesootinPort Harcourt. This is what bright sunny days look like for my people now.”
This comes just a few days after Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike declared 19 operators of illegal crude oil refining sites wanted for the soot pollution in the state.
